Hey, watch it, sista! Chocolate adds to a dessert but if you left it out you’d still have something delicious. Leave out vanilla and your dessert is just okay. Love the chocolate garnishes you made. They added a lovely touch. ~Vanilla rulz!, ingrid

I’m a cupcake lover as well. For many reasons. One – it’s easier to blog about cupcakes. People don’t seem to like them when you present them with a cake with a slice cut out of it. And so I usually only get pictures of the uncut cake. Not as fun. Cupcakes are also portion-sized. And occasionally I can control myself and only have one. Rather than cutting a huge slice of cake and calling it a portion. I do love ferrero rocher…something about hazelnut and chocolate that is so addicting. These look amazing!

I made these tonight! They are amazing. I think the salted caramel frosting is the best part. One thing that I did was cut up the candy bars first, then stuck them back in the freezer until I was ready for them. Also, I knew the batter would be thin (since you stated that) but at one point I needed to check the recipe to be sure I added everything! It’s quite runny, but turned out perfect! I can’t wait to share these cupcakes tomorrow! Thank you!

Oh my goodness, these are to die for! My dad used to sneak me 100 Grand bars which his co-worker (who also worked in the candy business) dropped off in a big box of every week, so needless to say it quickly became my all-time favorite candy. wow those look awesome! Actually, Coke from Mexico is made with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup like the regular Coke you get in the states. Personally, I think anything with cane sugar in it reigns supreme over anything with HFCS in it.

These look great. I love Mexican Coke, too. The main difference is it’s made with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. Plus it doesn’t taste like plastic or metal because it comes in the good ol’ glass bottles. I can find it at Costco here in Phoenix!

Yum! The cupcakes look amazing! I’d imagine similarities to red velvet but a million times yummier? We have a little hot dog place here that serves cokes in glass bottles. Ditto on the sugar cane thing. My DH (darling husband) refers to it as ‘Kosher Coke’ because he grew up in Baltimore and they have it available in the stores there for Passover. Last summer they brought out “Pepsi Throwback” and “Mountain Dew Throwback” that were made with real sugar (hey, we’re in NC, the home of Pepsi) and it was delicious! I’ve also heard that one Dr. Pepper bottling plant (I think in TX) still makes theirs with real sugar.

LOVE, love, and love! Before my mom became a childhood obesity activitist (this was also before my eating habits starting majorly sucking), she used to make this ridonculous coca-cola chocolate sheet cake. I’m going to have to make these, stat. Maybe it’ll help me block out all the times she made me eat dried apricots for dessert since they were “nature’s candy.”

Adorable! I have to make these. Also, I don’t know where you are in FL – I’m in Orlando – but I was *just* at Costco a few days ago, and there was Mexico Coke. Just so you know you have another option where you can buy it by the caseload

A friend pointed me in the direction of your blog – and although I am all about heath and fitness – the recipes loss delicious. I know when I’m going to have a treat – the best way to have it is to bake it myself. This way I know that 100% whole food is going into it. I can’t wait to try some of your recipes!

Wowzers, these do look fabulous! I was looking for a cupcake recipe for work (to celebrate a coworker and my birthday!) and these look PERFECT. Questions – I’ve made frosting recipes where you heat the egg whites and sugar, but usually its until they reach 165 on a thermometer – but it looks like that isn’t necessary here? Also, I’ve always used a glass bowl to heat the sugar/egg whites and then poured into my stand mixer bowl – but you just put everything in the stand mixer bowl and heated then whisked? Since I’ve never done that I’m just wondering how that worked (obviously they turned out great) but was the outside of the bowl all wet from the simmering water? Sorry for all the questions – they just look so I great when you did them

ive been looking at this recipe over and over for this last yr and only now just finally made it. the cupcakes are everything i’d hoped for. i grew up loving fluffer nutter sandwiches and was so suprised when i saw this recipe. not only did someone else know what a fluffer nutter was, but made it into a cupcake.. so cool
