We’re on the same page! I just made a watermelon lemonade with vodka, but I’m loving this idea. I love the Three Olives flavored vodkas, gotta try the watermelon. I love the grape – with club soda, tastes just like grape soda.

Oh my word!! I adore Coke in a glass bottle! I wish it was more readily available here because it really is quite a treat. Though I’ll have to search high and low for it and will not readily want to part with some for this cupcake, I think it’ll be worth it! Looks amazing.

wow those look awesome! Actually, Coke from Mexico is made with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup like the regular Coke you get in the states. Personally, I think anything with cane sugar in it reigns supreme over anything with HFCS in it.

Ditto Deanna. Once, my boyfriend at the time and I bought a whole case of Mexican Coke at Costco. It was delicious! And there’s also Dublin Dr. Pepper too!

These look great. I love Mexican Coke, too. The main difference is it’s made with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. Plus it doesn’t taste like plastic or metal because it comes in the good ol’ glass bottles. I can find it at Costco here in Phoenix!

Yum! The cupcakes look amazing! I’d imagine similarities to red velvet but a million times yummier? We have a little hot dog place here that serves cokes in glass bottles. Ditto on the sugar cane thing. My DH (darling husband) refers to it as ‘Kosher Coke’ because he grew up in Baltimore and they have it available in the stores there for Passover. Last summer they brought out “Pepsi Throwback” and “Mountain Dew Throwback” that were made with real sugar (hey, we’re in NC, the home of Pepsi) and it was delicious! I’ve also heard that one Dr. Pepper bottling plant (I think in TX) still makes theirs with real sugar.

LOVE, love, and love! Before my mom became a childhood obesity activitist (this was also before my eating habits starting majorly sucking), she used to make this ridonculous coca-cola chocolate sheet cake. I’m going to have to make these, stat. Maybe it’ll help me block out all the times she made me eat dried apricots for dessert since they were “nature’s candy.”

I’m also excited to head out and see it… Not sure when it will be though! I always like Carrie and Aiden together as well… but I think that they’ve tortured Carrie and Big enough over the years. Love the cake to frosting ratio. LOL, btw work attire is very formal in NYC and heels with panty hose is a must. Because they walk so much there the majority of the women wear sneakers with their suits and carry pumps in a tote. (I’m a NY’er though I’ve been living in FL for about 14 yrs.) My favourite part about summer is just driving around in the car with the AC off and the windows open. You just close your eyes and let that warm breeze wash over you. You would have the also be the passenger for the full effect. I imagine being the driver and plowing into a parked car with you eyes closed kind of ruins the moment. Now if only our snow would go away and we could at least enjoy spring.

There is an endless number of things to love about summer – the late nights, the bonfires, the fresh fruit/veg available, so much to do, so little time to do it! My FAVORITE thing about summer, I think, would have to be the weather. I love the sun, and even if I’m caught up indoors, having sun streaming through the windows is a great feeling. The bright blue skies and puffy marshmallow clouds… Or even when it turns into a thunderstorm. As long as it doesn’t turn into a tornado, I’ll sit indoors with my hubby and enjoy a good thunderstorm anytime!

I love everything about summer! I love going to the beach and feeling the sun kissing my skin while the sand swirls around me in the breeze! I love bbqs with friends and family. Hey for an idea for fruit infused water, try strawberries. I had some once at a hotel in Miami and it was DELICIOUS!

There is this old mexican TV comedy show called “El Chavo del Ocho” o “El Chavo” about an orphan boy that lives inside a barrel in a mexican “barrio”. Any person our age raised in Latin America knows “El Chavo”. Reading you post just brought back memories and I remembered how he used to love “Aguas Frescas”. I have not had “Aguas Frescas” in years, but try Tamarind with a bit of sugar to kill the tartness. You will absolutely LOVE it!! It was my favorite! Lemon and Fresh Ginger is pretty tasty and refresing too during the summer! Tell me later if you like them!!

When I went to Alaska to visit, the hotel had lemon rosemary flavored water…it was delicious! We kept guzzling it down like we’d never had water before. We only stopped when the huge pitcher was empty! This summer I’m loving the fact that I miss living in Anchorage…I thought I’d never say I missed the bitter cold, but with another hot summer approaching, -24 degrees looks pretty good compared to the triple digits we’re expecting!

My favorite part of summer is that life slows down a bit and we get to relax as a family. Yum. Love infused water. Always reminds me of going to the spa. I have a special water pitcher that holds the fruit and herbs in the middle of it. I make stawberry lemon water a lot, but I’m definitely going to try some of your recipes for a change.

Ironically, summer isn’t the best season here in Phoenix. I love the idea of summer, and as a kid always looked forward to them. It was fun to play non-stop all day without having to worry about school (not in Phoenix…)! Also, summer means softball…as it trickles into early summer after beginning in spring. I LOVE softball! And something else that I know I will love about this upcoming summer? Aqua Frescas!

My favorite part of summer is sleepy kids at the end of the day with their sweaty hair smelling of sunblock. Weird, I know. But, I love that.

But I really do care about aqua frescas! Not me so much, but my hubby loves it. My favorite part about summer is not having to get up so early on my days off to take the kids to school.

That reminds me of when we were at The Standard in Miami in the spa, they had cucumber water! It was SO good.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, but even more thanks for this! The timing could not have been better. The Mob just entered into a month-long processed-free diet and I made this with watermelon and mint over the weekend to replace soda…..YUM!

Ok..so I’m really late to this huh? I love the idea of aguas frescas! I’ll have to try it…today b/c after all I have fresh mint, some watermelon, and some cucumber!  Yes, that is right. This is Hot Chocolate On A Stick. Never heard of it? Neither had I! But once I did, I knew I just HAD to make it! Now, I had to find a reason.
