Growing up we made divinity every year and it was a family production.
And honestly, it wasn’t so much out of choice as it was a necessity! Divinity can be PAIN to make.
It takes forever to get it to the right stages and if you miss one step by just a few degrees…you have to start all over again. From the beginning.
But with the use of marshmallow fluff in place of the standard egg whites, you save yourself a whole lot of work and worry!
It makes the divinity so much more stable and thus much easier to make. Yay!
I love to put candied cherries in my divinity. I grew up with three kinds, plain, pecan and cherry.
Cherry has always been my favorite…and at Christmas, I like to use both green and red candied cherries. So festive!
