I used to have a daily coke (ok, sometimes two) in my teens and early twenties. I never thought much of it and it truly was my favorite drink. Then I got a little older and cut back to one a day.
Then I transitioned to one of those tiny mini cokes a day in the morning as my caffeine. And as of about a year ago I gave it up except for the random special treat (we are talking about once a month).
It was difficult because Jorge still drinks it daily, but thankfully ice tea has been my savior. I drink a lot of water (and when I was pregnant it’s pretty much ALL I drank), but it gets boring.
I make a lot of flavored Ice Teas (with Orange or Peach being one of my favorites) and occasionally I like to make it sweet like I grew up with.
Head on over to Dixie Crystals for the recipe! Feel free to switch up the fruit for different flavors and try out different levels of sweetness. This is a great basic recipe to swap for what you have on hand!

Loving this idea!! Who doesn’t love sweet tea?? Even better when made with fresh summer fruit!
I still have a coke once and a while an always feel so bad about it! An iced tea is definitely what I’d rather have. Love this!
