what is carne asada?

In Spanish, the term “carne asada” literally means “grilled meat.” Grilled steak is marinated with bold citrus and garlic flavors, then sliced and served in tacos or burritos.

Step 1. Combine the marinade ingredients, then pour over steak in a zip-top bag.  Refrigerate for 4 hours.

Step 2. Preheat the grill to high, and cook the steak for about 3 minutes per side.

Step 3. Remove the steak from the grill and cover with foil. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Step 4. Use a sharp knife to thinly slice the meat against the grain.

Enjoy! You can pile carne asada slices into tacos, burritos, over rice, or even over a salad.
