WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll need orange extract, shredded chocolate, and a few other simple ingredients to make this easy recipe.

Step 1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and butter until smooth.

Step 2. Add in the buttermilk, Greek yogurt, orange extract, and orange zest. Whisk until smooth.

Step 3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt, and add into the wet mixture.

Step 4. Evenly divide into greased cake pans and place into the preheated oven to bake.

Step 5. Once baked, remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack to cool.

Step 6. In the bowl of a stand mixer, whip together the butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and salt.

Step 7. Add in blue food coloring and shredded chocolate to create speckled robin's egg appearance.

Step 8. Place one layer onto a cake stand or plate and spread frosting all the way to the edge, evenly.

Step 9. Stack second layer directly on top and spread frosting again.

Step 10. Place the last layer on upside down. Then frost the top and sides, and smooth it out.

Step 11. Spoon remaining frosting into a piping bag, and pipe frosting along the edges of the cake.

Step 12. Heap the mini chocolate eggs into the center of the cake.

Step 13. Coat the bottom edge of the sides of the cake with the remaining shredded chocolate.

Brush away any excess chocolate, slice and serve!
