What is mexican picadillo?

Picadillo is a popular Mexican ground beef dish with potatoes and peas simmered in a spiced tomato sauce. An easy dinner for busy weeknights!


You'll need ground beef, potatoes, carrots, and a few other simple ingredients to make this easy recipe.

Step 1. Boil the carrots and potatoes for 7 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the beef, onions, and garlic.

Step 2. Add the sauce ingredients to the blender and process until smooth.

Step 3. Stir the potatoes, carrots, and peas in with the meat. Then pour the sauce on top.

Step 4. Simmer the meat and sauce for 20 to 25 minutes. Taste and add more salt as needed.

Serve with a side of Mexican Rice or white rice, and enjoy!
