PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

what makes these cookies different?

The steps of this recipe will be familiar if you've made any type of cookies before. However, this isn't a crunchy cookie!   The addition of pumpkin gives these cookies a sweet and nutty flavor, with a soft cakey texture.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Flour Spices Baking Soda & Powder White & Brown Sugar Butter Shortening  Eggs Milk Vanilla Extract Pumpkin Puree Chocolate Chips

Step 1. Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

Step 2. Cream the butter and sugars together, then add the eggs.

Step 3. Add the milk and vanilla and mix to combine. Next, add the pumpkin puree and mix again.

Step 4. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.  Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 5. Form the cookie dough into balls, place on the baking sheet, and top with a few extra chips.

Step 6. Bake for 15 minutes.  Cool on the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

These will keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or you can freeze the baked cookies or dough for later!
