Tender Crockpot Pot Roast

What Is Pot Roast?

Crockpot pot roast is made from a tough cut of beef (bottom round roast), which is slow cooked with veggies and gravy. It's a super comforting dinner that the whole family will love!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

In order to make this pot roast, you'll need bottom round roast, carrots, mushrooms, and a few other simple ingredients.

Step 1. Start by whisking together the gravy packets and cornstarch. Then, slowly stir in the coffee so that lumps do not form.

Step 2. Next, mix in the rest of the gravy ingredients and set the bowl aside. Then, in a pot, add oil, and sear the meat over medium high heat.

Step 3. Transfer the seared meat to the crockpot, and add the veggies over the top. Lastly, pour in the gravy and place the lid on.

Step 4. Slow cook the pot roast on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender.

Step 5. Take the pot roast out of the crockpot and shred the meat with two forks.

Step 6. Stir the gravy and vegetables to combine them, and then serve!

Pot roast is best when served over a plate of creamy mashed potatoes or cauliflower mash!
