This Re-Animator shot is fun, interactive, and smooth. It has smooth banana rum, sweet blue curaçao, and a special secret ingredient fluoresce, making this mad scientist’s concoction glow brightly under the black light.
We'll email this recipe to you, so you can come back to it later!
Instructions
Using a measuring cup with a pour spout, add blue curaçao to a graduated cylinder. Do not rinse the measuring cup after you pour the blue curaçao. You’ll need the remnants for the next step.
Add 1-ounce of the banana rum directly to the unrinsed measuring cup. This will give you a slightly blue-tinted rum. Gently pull open a single Riboflavin capsule. Very lightly sprinkle a small amount of the yellow powder on top of the rum. A little goes a long way. Swirl it around in the measuring cup or give it a good stir to mix. The powder will turn the rum green.
Tipping the graduated cylinder slightly at an angle, SLOWLY pour the green-tinged rum down along its inside wall. The blue and green will slightly blend where they meet but, as the cylinder fills, the color change becomes more apparent.
Add remaining 1-ounce of banana rum to your measuring cup. Again, sprinkle a very small amount of the Riboflavin in the rum. Mix in the powder. Your rum will be yellow.
In the same manner as before, tilting the graduated cylinder and pouring slowly down its side, add the yellow-tinted rum until all of the rum has been transferred.
Shot is now ready to serve! It will glow in the dark if in a black light!
Notes
Test Tubes: You can absolutely use regular shot glasses, but I think these fun test tubes really dress up these halloween shots. I used graduated cylinders for these photos, but they could get expensive for a party. If you are having a lot of people, I recommend looking at something like these plastic test tubes with lids instead. You get a lot more for your money and they are plastic!
