Sounds great. It’s good that you went with a Greek style yogurt as it would be closer to Indian kurd (yogurt). Much thicker and creamier than American-style.

I’ve only recently discovered Chobani, but it was love at first taste! I’m a boring yogurt eater; sometimes I add granola, but mostly straight out of the carton. I might spice it up by adding peanut butter though as was recommended – that sounds awesome!

i have never tried greek yogurt so i would taste test one of each flavor, try freezing one with a stick for my daughter and try using another in one of my tnt recipes

Hmmm. Well, what would I do with my Chobani? Right now I eat one every day at my desk at work!! Yes, every day! But now, I am going to be making your green chicken curry because it looks fabulous. I JUST got my garam masala in the mail yesterday and am anxious to use it. Local grocery stores do not carry it. I’m in love with Aarti and bought it to make her sloppy joes (not the exact name of her recipe but it escapes me and I don’t have it in front of me). Now I have another recipe to try it with. Wow, what an interesting green curry – it certainly is green! When I read the title I assumed it was going to be a Thai curry (which is both a million times easier to make than Indian ones and, in my opinion, a million times better!) but it was a nice surprise to discover that my expectations were deceived. And what a fun interview – good luck with your giveaway! Too bad I didn’t know you when I lived in Florida… I would have loved to cook Indian food for you! Although I’, not Indian, it happens to be my favorite kind of food and I make it as often as possible! I have never made a green curry though, and it sounds delicious… not to mention your naan. I made this last night as a side to some steak (which, BTW, I made a cocoa-chili-cumin rub for, and seared in a cast iron skillet, and it was delicious!) and it was wonderful. I LOVE zucchini and most of the time just steam it and use a bit of butter and grated cheese on top, but this was a great change for me. Simple to do, too! Your story brought tears to my eyes. We had to put down one of our “babies” about a year ago and it was devastating. We didn’t intend to get another cat for a very long time, but our surviving cat, Lucy, told us otherwise. She was BORED! So, we went to adopt a rescue cat…and came home with TWO! Two adorable brothers named Noah and Fitz. They are sooooo sweet and special to us. Can’t imagine our lives without them.

OMG I’m sitting here with tears streaming down my face. I totally understand your feelings. Our Bobbi died in April after 19 years of love and happiness. She was our daughter. A lot of people don’t understand how close you can be to a pet. I thought it would be a long time before we got another pet, then Merlin came into our lives. He is a huge bundle of love. What a beautiful Tortie girl. She looks like a bunch of different spices. Pepper, cumin, chili, onion salt. LOL

First, I have to say it is wonderful you were sent this kitty. It’s a symbiotic meeting of needs and a sign for sure that your old one helped you find each other. Halloween is a particularly interesting, and I love the magickal way you were brought together. I think “Zelda” would capture that if you’re still considering names. In German, it means “dark battle” which I think represents her trauma of being abandoned – but in later Yiddish interpretations, the name means “happiness” which is what she has found with you. Just my two cents. It captures the moment.

I’m so, so glad you shared your story! My husband and I have a 1-year-old golden retriever, Gus, and we consider him our “heart dog,” meaning he has a place in our hearts always as he is just as much a part of our family as I am. Moving to Florida is always a shock! You are lucky that you like Greek food, because there’s plenty of it to be had everywhere around FLA… I think what shocked me the most was that it was so hard to find good Mexican food around where I lived!

So, I made these the last time I cooked for my boyfriend about 2wks ago and he really enjoyed them! He said, he’d never had gyros with chicken. I always know if he likes something when he goes back for more!! It was easy, light and very tasty! Even making the Tzatziki was not difficult and that’s really what made it a gyro to me! And I don’t cook or make anything very often! Great suggestion Jess!

Eee!! Thank you for stopping by my blog…we are totally meant to be bloggy buddies. I moved away from Tampa back to my tiny hometown in the panhandle of Florida, and you know what I miss most about Tampa? The amazing GREEK and CUBAN restaurants!
