I have passed the point of no return.
I will NEVER have a strawberry shortcake any other way than as a sandwich with pound cake.
And with enough whip cream to fill a car.
This is one of the fastest desserts I have ever made…that also had amazing presentation.
I bought a delicious buttery pound cake.
Then I whipped up some fresh whipped cream that was heavy on the vanilla and just very lightly sweetened.
I sliced up my strawberries and gave them just a dusting of sugar as well.
A little resting time for the berries and then BAM. Strawberry Shortcake Sandwiches.
You should have seen us all walking around with our sandwiches.
We looked like kids with our giant smiles and faces covered with whipped cream.
This may very well be my new favorite no-bake QUICK summer dessert!

Oh this looks amazing! I always make a version of this with angel food cake…never thought of pound cake instead. Plus, how fun that it’s hand held!
