I decorated for Fall and Halloween today and then I sat on my porch and ate two of these Sangria Popsicles. That’s right, it’s not even September until Tuesday and all of my decorations are already out (and I have a lot of them).
Some might call me crazy…ok most will call me crazy, but I was just following my mom’s lead. Plus, who wants to only have out their decorations for 1 month? With Fall being my absolute favorite time of year, I count down the days every year for Summer to be over and Fall to start.
While I may be desperately trying to induce Fall — here in Florida it is still HOT. But that is honestly not very new…it’s always a hot Fall in Florida. Little kids are always sweating on Halloween here and usually wind up with their costumes half way off before the night is over.
So, how much of a contradiction is it to eat Sangria popsicles while sitting on my front porch next to a pumpkin wearing a top hat? I’m pretty sure I don’t want to hear the answer to that question. And for once, I am so glad not to be able to hear what y’all are thinking right now. You might actually all join forces together and have me committed.
These Sangria Popsicles are one of my favorite easy popsicle recipes for summer BBQs…just make sure and don’t share them with the kiddos. 😉 Unless your kiddos are over 21, of course.
The hidden bites of fruit are my favorite part and I always just use whatever fruit I have on hand. I have used everything from my kids mandarin orange slices to grapes. It all works once it’s frozen into a Sangria Popsicle!
