Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bundt Cake: this moist red velvet bundt cake is swirled with a sweet cream cheese filling and topped with a whipped cream cheese frosting!
Valentine’s Day is almost here and I have something special for all you red velvet cake fans!
It’s an amazingly moist Red Velvet Bundt Cake that is stuffed with a cream cheese filling and topped with a whipped cream cheese frosting drizzled on top.
With all the bundt cake recipes I have shared over the years, I thought it was about time we had a Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bundt Cake recipe!
So here we are, with one gorgeous bundt. And it’s freaking delicious. ;-)
My mother doesn’t like red velvet cake. If she wasn’t such a good Nana, I would probably disown her.
(Just kidding Mom, please still babysit for me.)
I don’t understand what she doesn’t like about it. It’s one of my favorite cake flavors!
She loves chocolate and cream cheese frosting…and red velvet is just a light chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting.
I think it’s all in her head.
Either way, y’all know how I feel about red velvet cake. LOVE is an understatement.
If you are new around here, check out a few of my past red velvet creations like…
Red Velvet Dream Cake — Red Velvet Mug Cake — Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookies — Red Velvet Macarons — Red Velvet Truffles — Marbled Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies
Yup. It’s pretty obvious how I feel about EVERYTHING Red Velvet!
For Valentine’s Day I am planning on trying out red velvet pancakes for breakfast.
I think the girls would get a major kick out of red heart shaped pancakes. Bonus: I would get to eat any leftovers. ;-)
Hopefully the recipe turns out good and I will be back here sharing it with all of you soon!
I decorated the cake for Valentine’s Day, but it would also be an adorable bundt cake or July 4th!
You could tint the icing drizzled on top blue. Then you would have a red cake, blue icing and a white center when you cut into it!
I use red gel food coloring or wilton red icing coloring (found on amazon or at walmart or michaels!).
Head on over to Dixie Crystals for the full recipe I developed for them!

Made this cake today by request from my nephews girlfriend for her birthday. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t taste like a red velvet cake.
Has anyone tried this with Gluten free flour? I don’t want to waste the ingredients trying it out……anyone?
I have successfully used Bob Red Mills 1-2-1 gluten free flour on many regular recipes and it turns out great.
Para mí red velvet significa Excelencia de la repostería….

For those that couldn’t see the link.
Your desserts really look tasty, can’t wait to try them
I would like to know the recipe for this Wonderful cake. You know how much of what.
I need the receipt for this cake
can’t eat chocolate. what could I use instead of cocoa?
I would recommend finding a different bundt cake since the chocolate is a big part of the flavor of this cake. If you still want to make it, I would use flour in place of the cocoa. But just know it will not taste the same!
I would substitute 3 Tbls (flavor of your choice) instant pudding powder for the cocoa. Pudding plays nice in cakes. I’ve added it to cookies, frosting, and other baked goods too, just to create custom flavor combos, with good results. Jello powder is also really fun to play with – not only for flavor, but awesome color effects too!
How do i get the recipe?
It’s linked right at the bottom of the post: https://tinyurl.com/y7yvyxm3
Can coconut oil be used in place of all or some of the vegetable oil?
I haven’t tried it, if you use the liquid kind, it should be fine. But if you use the solid coconut oil, I can’t promise how it will turn out.
Where is the recipe? I don’t see it anywhere on the page.
It’s linked right at the bottom of the post: https://tinyurl.com/y7yvyxm3
The frosting is liquid. More of a glaze. I even added an extra cup of powdered sugar and it’s still liquid. I think it’s way too much cream for that small amount of sugar.
Hi Michele, you beat the frosting for a few minutes, this whips the heavy cream (think whipped cream) making it into a much thicker frosting. If you do not beat the icing for 2 minutes as the instructions say, yes it will be very liquid-y.
Can you post the red velvet cake for high altitude? I live in Colorado

Hi mam
Can i get the exact mesurements of the ingredients of valvet red cake?
Your recipe got no measument??
Can this be made in a 9″ round? If so, what would the cook tone and oven temp be? Any idea?
Thank you
I made this last weekend. Took it out of the oven at 60 min and it was burned. My batter was quite red but I put a lot of gel in it. It looked pretty but was not edible. I need to get my oven checked and calibrated.
I have made this twice. It does not turn out red like a red velvet cake should. It taste wonderful. I used a whole red gel dye still not red velvet???
Can this recipe be made with boxed red velvet cake mix? I’m looking for a short cut?
Yes, it should work fine!
Put regular sugar in the blender to make it finr….Any sugar will work…..use any manufacturers powdered sugar….this is a recipe endorsed by Dixie sugar so that is why it is recommended..sugar is sugar
This past weekend, I made this cake for our dessert after, Sunday dinner. It was also our family game night. I have a red velvet cake recipe, that I’ve been making for over 30 years! My son has a standing order for my red velvet cake recipe, until he tells me otherwise.
When I served this red velvet cake, I could tell by their faces it wasn’t good. I was the last one to take a bite and it was awful!! I’ll stick to my recipe.
I made the cake. It is moist & delicious. But, the cream cheese filling left a hole in the cake. What did I do wrong?
The above link is dead. Here’s the recipe:

You’re welcome!
This cake was AMAZING!!!!! The cake was quick, easy to make! I thought my frosting was a little runny, when I make again, I will add cream a little a time until it is consistency I like!
Sorry White powder sugar.
I am not able to find the fine crystal sugar? What can I replace it with especially the white
power sugar.
I couldn’t get the frosting to work at all. 1Tbs of vanilla sure seems like a ton of vanilla for a frosting. Mine looks tan in color because of the vanilla. 2nd, my frosting was almost like water and way too thin. Followed the directions as written. Something seems wrong with the frosting recipe but the cake is good.
I am in love with this recipe, my new fav go to dessert, yum!
Can someone repost the recipe?

I was about to make this today, but it looks like the page was removed before I could start! Can the recipe be found anywhere else?
Hi there, I really want to make this tonight but when I click the link it shows a server error. I’ve tried from my computer and phone but neither work. Please help!!!
We are making this for Valentines Dinner tonight ❤️
P.S. Finding the recipe was easy Reading the blog post and able to read the word ‘RECIPE:’ follows by a link to the recipe was a piece of cake (pun intended)
Thanks for sharing such a scrumptious recipe!!!
I made the cake for Valentine’s Day. I wasn’t able to get the red color right and the cream cheese filling sunk but it was delicious. I used a glaze instead of frosting to cut the richness. It was perfect for us.
Can you make it as cupcakes/muffins instead? If so would the baking time or degrees on the oven be altered at all?
Thanks!
Total novice question but can I make this today so it is ready for tomorrow? Do I store in fridge or covered on counter?
Recipe suggest serving immediately or storing leftovers in the fridge.
Small Post Script……
Furthermore…..My cake was also prepared Gluten Free……..
This was my first visit to your webpage and recipes…..I prepared your Red Velvet Cream Cheese Bundt cake today, finding your directions to be very straight forward and complete.

Could I make this with gluten free flour?
Yes I prepared ours Using a Gluten Free All Purpose Flour Blend……
The results were fantastic….
Hi, can you use buttermilk in place of the whole milk? And eliminate the vinegar? Thanks!
Yes you can.
I made this last evening and took it to work today. Everyone loves it! Even the people who don’t like cake. Very moist and not too sweet. A lot of people loved how the filling doesn’t taste like the icing. Definitely going to make this more!❤️
I could not find how much of the ingredients to make for valentine’s day
Can I use Heavy Whipping Cream in place of heavy cream?
Yes,heavy whipping cream and heavy cream are the same thing.
This looks amazing. Can’t wait to try it. i don’t know why people have trouble finding the recipe. I was able to go right to it.
I found it too! Not a issue. Thank you to who ever posted this recipe! Going to make for my Valentine!!

If you scroll down just above the word save it will say recipe. Click on that. The recipe will come up. Hit the print button. I was able to print it out by doing this. Good luck.
Thanks for sharing the recipe! I used to love coming to your website but lately, it seems inundated with ads and sponsored links. I realize you spend a lot of time on the blog but compared to other cooking sites, this feels more overwhelming. I’m coming here less and less because of it. I hope you scale back and can bring back your lost readers.
How did you get Recipe. I have been trying ???
